Does the Knours team actually use Knours products in their skincare routine?
Welcome back to our blog! It’s hard to believe that it has already been around a year since our last post. We are extremely excited to bring stories back- our stories, your stories, and stories to inspire.
Today, with a fresh start, we would like to share our team’s skin concerns and the skincare routines they go through. Ever wondered what people in the skincare industry use in their daily lives? Would they solely rely on their own brand’s products, or will they explore others? Let’s start by introducing Kijung, our newly joined marketing associate.
Kijung has sensitive skin, with acne that comes and goes. Her T-zone tends to be oily, while other areas are dry - a typical combination of skin. Finding the right product was an ongoing challenge for her, especially for nighttime use because she would normally wake up with excessive oil around her nose while other areas were dried up. This turned out to be a long adventure with skincare products, but now she has her own skincare routine which she is proud to share.
Here’s Kijung’s skincare routine.
As having combination skin, she said “The meditation gel cream is perfect for mornings since it is very light but does not create much grease during the day. Then the youth cream is the best option at night because it’s not oily but still provides rich moisture that lasts until morning”. Another skin concern of her is the occasional psoriasis, especially during seasonal transitions where she struggles with rashes due to the sudden dryness of the air. However, she has found that the Youth Cream has been extremely effective in soothing the rashes.
Next is Joowon, our talented graphic designer, she also has a combination skin but is more on the dry side. Her routine looks like this:
On top of this, she uses the Knours Be Kind Hydrating Double Duty Mist whenever her skin feels dry.
Her favorite product addresses her main skin concerns - redness caused by dryness and the sudden uneven texture that appears around her hormonal cycle, particularly small breakouts around her jawline. For this, she finds her Power Elasticity Boosting Plump Pad, placing it on the problem areas for a few minutes which helps to calm and smooth the skin.
Lastly, our marketing associate Grace has dry skin that gets oily sometimes, which makes her prone to breakouts during hormonal fluctuations. Her main skincare focus is ensuring sunscreen application throughout the day to protect her skin from sun damage. This will be Grace’s skincare routine.
The answer to whether we exclusively use Knours products in our skincare routine is no, but we do primarily rely on them. Our selection of Knours products comes not only from the benefit of receiving them as gifts and sampling (which is, of course, amazing) but also from our trust and confidence in the ingredients and production process.
This marks our first blog post in a while, and we hope it provided valuable insights for your skincare routines and satisfied your curiosity. Please stay tuned for the next one since we will deep dive into the ingredients in skincare products ;)
